Stephanie Spray is a filmmaker, phonographer and anthropologist. As a Media Anthropology PhD student at Harvard University she completed five films and several sound projects in Nepal. Her film MANAKAMANA (2013, with Pacho Velez) was her CMP capstone project. She is joining the Department of Critical Media Practices at the University of Colorado Boulder as Assistant Professor in Spring 2017. In Fall 2016 she is filming a new audiovisual work for eight weeks aboard the JOIDES Resolution, an international scientific drilling vessel on Expedition 363 into the Western Pacific Warm Pool.
