Courtney T. Wittekind is an anthropologist, artist, and filmmaker currently completing her PhD in Social Anthropology at Harvard. Courtney also holds an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree in Studio Art and Anthropology from Carnegie Mellon University, and a MPhil in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Oxford, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar. Her planned dissertation fieldwork and capstone project explore themes of space, precarity, politics, and the unseen in the context of Burma/Myanmar’s ongoing transition. With collaborator Anna Wherry, she also conducts research on boundary-making and spatial politics in the American South.
