Stefan Grabowski is an artist and filmmaker whose works have screened at numerous venues around the world including Anthology Film Archives in New York City and Image Forum in Tokyo, Japan. Since 2011, he has programmed the Balagan Film Series, a nomadic screening series that serves as a platform for avant-garde, experimental and otherwise marginalized film and video work. He is also a founding member of the AgX Film Collective, a non-hierarchical group of moving-image artists united around ideals of openness and fluidity – sharing resources, equipment, knowledge and camaraderie, with a focus on photochemical film-making.
