Gleb got his BFA in Film, Television, and Radio from the Tisch School of the Arts, and his MA in Comparative Literature from NYU. He is currently writing a dissertation on Andrei Tarkovsky, the Russian Avant-Garde, and Byzantine Icon theory for the Slavic Languages and Literatures department at Harvard. His filmmaking practice started with fiction, animation, and experimental shorts, and has evolved toward an interest in the film-essay. His CMP project, “The Body in History,” combines personal and theoretical essay film techniques with live performance, installation, and body art.
