Fabian Almazan is a Cuban-American two time Grammy nominated jazz pianist and composer. Born in Havana, Cuba, Almazan reached the United States via the Mexican border as a child, eventually claiming political asylum in Miami, Florida. He has a Masters from the Manhattan School of Music Conservatory.

Almazan is well-known for his tenure with Terence Blanchard’s quintet and piano performances in Spike Lee films. He received acclaim for his complex blend of jazz with electronic and classical music elements. Throughout his solo career, he has released several albums that highlight his innovative approach to music and composition.

He is the founder of Biophilia Records, a music label that merges environmental activism with music production, advocating for sustainability and eco-friendly practices through its unique “biopholio” releases.

Almazan’s work is characterized by a deep commitment to both musical innovation and environmental issues.
