Department of Philosophy
I am a third-year PhD student in the philosophy department, in which I study agency, alienation, and the philosophy of mind. My work in CMP is currently aimed at exploring the theory and practice of expression. I have experience in fiction and nonfiction filmmaking, installations, and poetry, and I am growing more interested in painting. Currently, I am working on two projects: one is a multi-media road movie coupled with expositions on contemporary America, its culture, and the infrastructure and actual process of traveling. My other project is a series of model (doll-ish) houses inspired by the aesthetics of the 2004 housing crash in central Florida as well as queer culture in ancient greek and the album “Horses” by Patti Smith.
