Please join us for an FSC workshop with cinematographer Rui Poças. Poças will explore the creative relationship between filmmaker and cinematographer, revisiting films he’s collaborated on with luminary directors such as Lucrecia Martel, Ira Sachs, Miguel Gomes, and João Pedro Rodrigues, among others.

Rui Poças is an award-winning cinematographer best known for his collaboration in Zama, Lucrecia’s Martel feature film, which premiered at the 74th Venice International Film Festival. He shot Ira Sachs’s Frankie, starring Isabelle Huppert, Greg Kinnear, Marisa Tomei, and Jérémie Renier, and is a regular collaborator of the Portuguese filmmakers Miguel Gomes (This Dear Month of August and Tabu) and João Pedro Rodrigues (PhantomTo Die Like a ManThe Ornithologist, and Will-o’-the-Wisp).

This event is open to FSC fellows, CMP students, AFVS students, and AFVS community
