This is a workshop directed to CMP students wanting to learn about lighting for film work; it is also open to FSC fellows and AFVS students as space allows. We will work with the lights available from the FSC/CMP equipment room, as well as learn how to malleably and precisely use lights available on your shooting locations and simple lights you can find in local hardware stores. So that we can direct the workshop to your project’s needs, please be in touch with Joana Pimenta in advance.
Send her a description of the lighting scenarios you hope to achieve in your project, as well as your ideal lighting description for a sequence you’d like to film, or you have already filmed but would like to explore what else could have been done in that lighting environment. During the workshop, we will work from your specific questions and project needs.
