What do filmmakers need to do to ensure their work complies with laws and regulations professional norms? Please join us for a workshop on legal issues for filmmakers led by Christopher Bavitz, WilmerHale Clinical Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and Managing Director of the Cyberlaw Clinic at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society and Rebecca Richman Cohen, Documentary Filmmaker, Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, and CMP Affiliated Faculty, along with Harvard Law School students from the Cyberlaw Clinic.

The worksop will provide an overview on key concepts such as fair use, appearance and location releases, and licenses for use of music or archival materials. You will learn best practices and leave with resources to take you further.
