Aryo Danusiri is a video artist and anthropologist born in Jakarta. His works have been featured at various film festivals and art galleries, including Yamagata, Rotterdam, Mead as well as Hause der Kulturen der Welt, Camera Austria, Ethnographic Terminalia and the Whitney Biennial. He is currently a fellow at the Sensory Ethnography Lab and Film Study Center at Harvard University to support his doctoral project in Social Anthropology and Critical Media Practice. His CMP capstone project, “The Lines” is about the experience of drifting along three urban forms: road, rail and river. It engages with issues of infrastructure, ecology and labor.
