Chris Benham is a filmmaker, orchestral conductor, and 3rd year PhD candidate in Historical Musicology. His work revolves around site-specific sound installations in New York City and the way such works highlight listening as an agentive and relational act and as a chance to destabilize conceptions of knowledge. Similarly, in his creative work, Chris is interested in the intersection of space, imagination, and perception as a site for reconsidering what it means to “know.”
