Lucy entered the philosophy PhD program in 2021. During the time between the end of undergrad and the start of her PhD, she served six months on a conservation crew based out of Hurricane, Utah.

She works in film, painting, and occasionally multimedia installation. In her work she is especially interested in attachment, and the difficulties of conversation, the last of which is the topic of her current philosophical research.

In philosophy and the arts she also has an interest in our relationship to the environment, especially as it plays out in human interactions with the great lakes and in conservation work done in the American West.
