Santiago Bonilla

Santiago Bonilla is an artist and filmmaker working across film and installation through documentary practices.
Prior to his doctoral studies at Harvard, Santiago was a resident in Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains, where he worked under the tutorship of artists such as Béla Tarr, Ben Russell, Matías Piñeiro and Joan Fontcuberta. He holds a bachelor degree in Linguistics and Hispanic Literatures and another one in Cinema. He has worked as cinematographer of different projects both in Mexico and France and has shown his work in international film festivals such as Punto de Vista, Vienna Shorts, Festival Márgenes, among others.
