Department of Anthropology
Parker Hatley is an artist and Ph.D. candidate in Social Anthropology and Critical Media Practice at Harvard University, working across the fields of environmental anthropology, the anthropology of labor and work, and visual anthropology. His research is motivated by a longstanding interest in natural resource management, agribusiness, and land use in Latin America and the United States. ZETASORA, his current film project, explores cattle ranching, indigeneity, and wildlife conservation in the Sierra Madre Occidental of Sonora, Mexico. He graduated from Bard College in 2013 with a B.A. in Anthropology and Latin American Studies.
